The following is excerpts from a series of interactions between military and civilian leaders

An internal memo from the Head of the Foreign Relations Group, the Galavarian equivalent to the CIA, to the office of foreign affairs chief.

Here is the detailed report you wanted on the new project, you can forward the attached file to his majesty for approval.

PROJECT LITTLE BOOTS
FRG operatives with military support will enter the nation of Stazawka posing as tourists with a passion for geography, history, and or architecture. These operatives will be tasked with collecting intelligence on public disposition, and key military targets for an invasion. This unit will also be tasked with noting any terrain concerns for an invasion force. Henceforth this group will be known as “Group A”. Another group of operatives will insert themselves in the same method and attempt to find as much dirt on the Stazawkan government as their cover allows. The operatives will begin the process of setting up safehouses and local sources for information. Noted dissenters will be given safe passage back to Galavaria and used to build a concrete political plan. This group will be known as group B. A third group will remain on the border and assist in infiltration and exfiltration, they will also help wage an information warfare campaign on Stazawka. The point of which will be to misguide the Stazawkan public on the movements of forces on the border and cross border operations. It will also be used to galvanize public support in favor of an invasion on both sides of the border. This will be done using information gained from the human intelligence assets. Phase II of the project aims to get Stazawka to fire the first shot in a border skirmish, to allow for retaliatory strikes and further justification of invasion.

A letter from the Foreign Relations Group to the Kriegsschloss (Galavarian pentagon)

To General Fuchs,

As per the directive of his majesty we will be moving forward with project little boots. We will require from you a ground and air support through airborne intelligence gathering and special operations forces. We will insert our own operatives overland via in the next batch of tourists that head into Stazawka. We request to requisition the full might of the armed forces ISR capabilities to monitor the safe infiltration and exfiltration of our people. We would ask your surveillance operations be as covert as possible as to not arouse suspicion. Ground forces are requested to be put on standby to stage rescue operations in contested territory if the situation demands it. Border installations should be put at a heightened state of readiness, and plans should be drafted up to take the koridor pohraničí. We advise that you stage a large scale training drill near the border to mask the force buildup. Details in meeting with his majesty this weekend.

After this and a wave of other memos swarmed civilian and military planners, and the chiefs of staff left the Kriegsschloss unannounced to make a visit to the royal palace. This would take place on 5/11/21 with the FRG project coming into effect two days later.

In the same fashion as before, a nondescript black car drove up to the castle gates, and was promptly waved through at the flash of a badge. The three men hurried into the main hall similarly as they've done dozens of times over their careers. This time however, some of the men present were far more aggravated then the rest.

“Where the hell does that prick get off telling me how to run my army?!”

General Fuchs, Chief of staff of the Army, and de facto head of the chiefs of staff, was more than displeased to be directed by a civilian department of government on how to conduct military operations.

“He crawls up the archduke’s ass, and all of a sudden he thinks he’s in charge, and can give ME orders. That aristocratic shit sniffer never spent a day in the armed forces, and he thinks he knows how we operate?!”

The other men in his company knew better then to argue, as attempting to do so while he was in an aggravated state would get them nowhere. To them it was best for Fuchs to blow off steam before the meeting, and allow him to have a clearer head when making the military’s pitch to the king. When they got to the conference room it was full to capacity, with the King, Archdukes, and the generals making the room slightly crowded. One man stood out amongst the group, a tall and slender man with short jet black hair and pale skin. Sporting an equally dark suit to match the man wore a permanent scowl on his face, and could be none other than Simon Baumann, head of the secretive Foreign Relations Group. Seated around the table where the king, the five archdukes, and one seat left open for general Fuchs. After taking it, Brandt gestured for the conference to begin, with Baumann standing up and going through a slideshow going over what was covered in the project little boots report. Next up was General Fuchs, who waved General Walter Beck forward, who nodded to Fuchs and began his own slideshow.

“Your majesty, given the complex nature of operations being asked of the division we are asking to once again fold air force assets under SOD. Further, committing to cross border operations at this point in time is highly dangerous. Getting any amount of non deniable assets over into Stazawka is a challenge to be sure, so to avoid unnecessary and politically costly maneuvers, we’ve come up with our own ideas.”

Brandt took this time to speak up

“I have been assured by Herr Baumann that your forces will largely go unneeded. Quite honestly I do not wish to use any military forces until the war is declared. Any approval for a rescue mission must come through me, and I will make an informed decision on whether or not we can risk a rescue in the political climate. All this backroom maneuvering is distasteful, but I have been assured that we will find enough evidence to justify our actions.”

He waves for Beck to continue

“Very good sir, but our plan would allow for the flexibility to not need to send troops in before hostilities commenced. We would suggest waiting until ground operations are underway before using that to mask raids on known holding locations of any compromised agents. That way, we can maintain 100% deniability. I’ll pass the briefing off the General Vogal so he can give the air section of the briefing.”

While he sits down, Vogal adjusts his horn rimmed glasses and takes Beck’s place. Giving a nod to the group, he begins speaking.

“I concur with General Beck’s findings, your majesty. I am fine with allowing Special Operation’s plan to borrow our assets. As per the request of Herr Baumann We will be conducting full surveillance of the border region and as far into Stazawka as possible. Further, we will attempt to use our electronic warfare assets in tandem with FRG agents on the ground to obscure the movement of equipment to the Enges province. We hold great confidence that the Stazawkan Defense Forces will have no idea as to our intentions.”

Stroking his beard and nodding, Brandt spoke to the room

“And what if they decide to strike first, damn the international consequences?”

There is a brief pause in the room, before General Fuchs clears his throat and says

“Your majesty, we feel that with the forces present on and near the border during such an event would be sufficient enough to hold out until a counter attack could be made. Their movements and communications will be monitored around the clock sir, it's unlikely they’d get the drop on us.”

Brandt continues

“Very well then, from all the information presented this seems like a worthy endeavor to undertake. You have my approval."

Brandt knew he was under pressure to let the mission go through even if he had his own doubts. While public opinion wasn’t exactly against him, expanding the heartlands' territorial holdings would win him over far more minds then continuing to let the Grand Chamber draft resolutions that essentially do his job for him.

And so the King made his decree. Over the next two days agents of the FRG would slip over the border and begin their work. On the 13th, a mass exercise on that border would be called for by the Kriegsschloss. Over the coming weeks, as information began pouring in from across the border, All manner of Armor, Mechanized, and airborne units would begin training in the Enges province. They would receive judicial air support, and the exercises would be focused on mass maneuvers on a peer foe. At the same time, the majority of Galavaria’s ISR assets would keep a silent watch over Stazawka, under the guise of assisting in the training exercises. Notably different from previous training events, units that had completed their leg of training would not return to normal bases across the heartland, but would instead construct temporary facilities across the Enges province. Official word on this change of procedure was forward operating base (FOB) training and familiarity. All the following memos and meetings would be transcribed by the Foreign Relations Group and be logged under the project folder.

Breaking News!

Several whistleblowers have come forward on the Stazawakan government’s illicit activities. As of the writing of this article, the government has agreed to harbor these whistleblowers under the context of political asylum. A GNN reporter on the ground managed to get a private interview with some of the whistleblowers who have been granted asylum. While for the safety of these people we can not release their names, we can release statements they had for the general public. To start off the heinous acts committed by the illegitimate government of Stazawaka, we have photographic proof that they have been executed political prisoners. Our sources also gave us verifiable proof that the vast majority of government officials have accepted some form of bribe, and participated in a vast money laundering scheme involving taxpayer dollars. The government of Stazawaka has denied all the allegations presented by our sources in a press release. Despite this all the members of the government with allegations against them have made no official public statements leading to rampant speculation. Also in the press release was a demand by the Stazawakan government for Galavaria to return all whistleblowers over with a one week deadline. There has been no word from the palace stating whether or not it would be giving in to this demand.

Tension on the border!

Amid a string of protests and allegations of systemic corruption troubling our neighbors to the east, joint exercise “cloudy skies” has gone off mostly without a hitch. This changed last night when several border guards on both sides got into a prolonged scuffle over a dispute that has been brewing since the exercises began. It started when a stray artillery shell from the training exercise detonated just 20 meters from the Stazawakan border, something the Kriegsschloss called “a deeply regrettable mistake”. Tensions hit a fever pitch last night when a group of soldiers got lost during a night movement and ended up potentially crossing the border. They were confronted by border guards, and a fist fight soon broke out. It is unknown at this time how many on each side were injured, but according to top military officials none were injured seriously. The Stazawakan government has said today that the next violation of their border security will be met with “grave consequences”.

In other news

It is with a heavy heart that we report the death of his highness Alfred Brandt. After revealing a cancer diagnosis in 2013, some two years after passing power over to his son, he spent the following years in retirement bravely battling the disease. The royal family reported that he passed away peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, with the wake being held behind closed doors today. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, with the morning ceremony being invite only. At 1pm the casket will be taken from Wolff Square to Lion’s Gate (historic monument that used to be a part of the medieval city wall structure) out to the Chamber of Kings (burial ground subplot meant for rulers and their direct family). This will be open to the public and a cordon will be allowed to observe the casket being entombed from a safe distance. Tum victor requiem, and god bless Galavara.

Celebrity News!

Our very own warrior prince, Karl Brandt, will be officially commissioned into the armed forces at the end of the week. He got a head start on his military career by attending a specialized training session last summer. According to the Kriegsschloss the young Brandt will be sworn in as a cadet with the Krieger school of military excellence on Friday. He has already completed two years of the school's requirement in private studies with tutors at the palace, and is expected to commission in early 2023.

The Plan

After weeks of psyops courtesy of FRG, the SDF (Stazawakan Defense Force) was in a state of utter confusion. These psyops did not go flawlessly, as one of the agents sent over the border was arrested by police, and was sent to a maximum security prison. On one hand their military had an increasingly paranoid government readying them to deploy in case of civil unrest, and on the other hand the same government was telling them to prepare for an invasion. When military planners questioned whether that meant an invasion by Galavaria, or an invasion of it, they were met with mixed messages. Not in a position to act on the offensive whims of the government, the SDF positioned themselves in a jumbled mess of offensive and defensive positions. Some within the SDF had deluded themselves into thinking they could surprise Galavaria in a lightning attack and use it to demand the release of the whistleblowers currently doing so much damage to the government they served. This however, was exactly what planners on the Galavarian side of the border wanted. For the last several weeks, they have been silently collecting intelligence on their enemy across the border, and have successfully concealed a massive troop build up. Concurrently to this, these military planners under the leadership of General Fuchs have planned for extensive combat operations within Stazawaka to defeat their military, and topple their government. The code name for this operation is: Thunderclap. It involved an extensive air-ground campaign that would be split into three phases. Phase I would consist of an extensive bombardment of border positions via air and artillery assets This part of the operation would also see a joint force of the first special operations division infiltrate across the border. The timetable for this portion of the operation was given a maximum of three days, but planners hoped for ground troops to be able to begin maneuvers after just 36 hours of bombardment. Phase II of the operation would first involve a massive airborne landing behind Stazawakan lines by a joint special operations and conventional force. This would be concurrent to Armor and mechanized formations thrusting across the border. Phase II of combat operations would cover from conventional forces crossing the border to friendly forces reaching predetermined positions within the country. Phase III would involve the complete destruction of the SDF, and the capitulation of the Stazawakan government. In total military planners estimated major combat operations would take around two months. The areas of operation (AOR) would be split up between the I corps, II corps, and III corps. I corps, composed from the 1st infantry division (mech), and 10th armored division, would take up the center of the front and the main drive of the offensive. II corps composed from the 7th infantry division (combined), and the 6th infantry division (mech) would be tasked with the southern part of the front. III corps, which is composed of the 2nd infantry division (combined), and the 9th infantry division, would be tasked with the northern part of the front. These units, along with a part of I corps, would be responsible for linking up with the paratroopers. These airborne soldiers would be dropped in III corps AOR well ahead of their lines, composed of men in the 25th airborne division and the 88th Jager regiment (75th rangers irl), they would be tasked with establishing blocking positions and seizing airfields. The 5th infantry division (mech), and the  13th cavalry division would be held in reserve on key blind spots on the border. On top of this, the National Reserve Corps (IRL national guard/reservists) is called up to bolster the defenses on Galavaria’s other borders. It is a sparse defense, but as the government of Stazawaka has not made many friends on the content, it is more for public assurance. The problem with this force, on top of being spread thin enough to be of no consequence to a determined force, will also not get deployed to their positions until next week.

The Spark

Top military planners meticulously planned every aspect of combat operations, and attempted to take even the smallest detail into account with the short time they had to prepare, to mixed results. On the night of the 4th of June 2021, warning orders would go out to troops to begin setting up at their pre designated staging areas. Early estimates for the start of combat operations were optimistically put at June 9th, with the first aircraft crossing the border on the 6th. Taking advantage of the mass amounts of confusion present in the SDF, false plans were leaked late at night on the 4th that the Galavarian military was planning for offensive operations that very same day. Following that, another accidental artillery accident was cooked up, but this time it went horribly wrong. The original intent of the action was to land an artillery shell near a border post, and potentially injure the personnel stationed there. Instead, the artillery shell obliterated a guard shack and killed 4 people. This threw the SDF into a tailspin, and by the evening retaliatory strikes had struck border posts on the Galavarian side of the border, killing 16 and seriously injuring 24. Press on both sides of the border would come to call this act “a blatant declaration of war”. Taking advantage of the chaos, the military decided to accelerate the timetable of operations. During the early morning hours of the 5th members of the Special Operations Division- Alpha Group (SOD-A) would silently creep over the border and split into two groups. One group would mark targets for aircraft that would begin surgical strikes against military targets at 0600 local time. This group would initially mark targets to pave the way for a second group of special operators to safely make it over the border undetected, then switch up their targets to ones supporting the overall operation. The other group, along with members from SOD-C would form task force dagger, with the mission of attacking high value targets. The first of these would be a daring morning raid on SDF air defense positions that SEAD aircraft could not safely engage. By mid day on the 5th, SDF artillery units that were in pre-staged offensive positions began tossing shells haphazardly across the border while a few scattered infantry and mechanized units attempted to stage for a border crossing. Around the same time, Galavaria would lose its first airframe, an F-15E, to hostile ground fire. Both pilots would eject and be taken prisoner. Despite this over the course of the day a steady flow of intel would be fed to air and ground assets on enemy dispositions, and strikes against the SDF would only intensify as the day went on. The SDF would take their first air to air losses of the war just before 1700, when an F-35A shot down a Mig-29, and an F-15E shot down a Mig-23. By the evening on the 5th, it was still just seen by most people as a rather nasty border skirmish. This notion would not last, as King Brandt would address the nation on the morning of the 6th.

Good morning, today I must address you all with somber news. It seems as though the corrupt failed state calling itself Stazawaka has made true their threats to our way of life and attacked the fatherland without provocation. It is with righteous fury I ordered the military to conduct surgical strikes to stop these senseless attacks, and bring an end to the violence. This action only brought more violence, and more death. It has become clear to me, as it should all of you, the leaders of Stazawaka have no intention of ceasing this aggression. This leaves me but one choice, to answer with overwhelming force. Galavaria stood by as the good people of that nation were being abused, no longer. We cannot stand by and allow attacks on the fatherland to go unanswered. It is with this in mind that I have declared war on Stazawaka, and as we speak, military operations are underway to put an end to this regime. Thank you, and god bless Galavaria.

Phase I

After one day of jumbled combat operations, the Galavarian side dropped the act and began putting their plans into motion. Throughout the night, fighters and bombers worked tirelessly to destroy a host of military targets across breach sites near the border. Just after dawn on the 6th a small group of cargo aircraft would be escorted over the lines and drop off Jagers two locations, one group would be dropped near the 25th airborne’s DZ (drop zone) and be tasked with moving up to destroy small pockets of resistance around the area, mostly unorganized police officers and reservists. The second group would be tasked with a mission that had come up overnight. Very quickly into operations, the SDF realized that foreign troops were well within their borders, and began stepping up patrols to look for them. In a stroke of poor luck, a company sized element of operators from both A and C groups of SOD found themselves embattled and later surrounded by two companies of SDF infantry. 2nd battalion 88th jagers would paradrop 2 miles past this battle, and work their way into relieving the task force. By 0800 local, the rest of the airborne forces followed suit in a massive paradrop in the hills near the city of Stredisko. The three combat brigades dropped would take blocking positions in 3 key areas, and link up with members of the 88th jagers. 1 brigade would be tasked with taking and holding a key road and rail line over the veľká river that separates the city and northern Stazawaka from the south. A second brigade would move to cover the left flank of the city, and prevent any crossings or destruction of the local bridges across the veľká. A third brigade would be tasked with taking the Stredisko international airport (as it has a military installation attached), but this was only in theory. In practice they covered the Jagers as they assaulted the airfield and protected the right flank of the forces. With the speed and surprise of this operation, any units north of the veľká would have to divert to other smaller junctions and resupply via the main highway has been effectively cut off. Fighting over the initial objectives would be finished in just two hours, but for the rest of the day units unaware that their MSR was no longer in their hands would learn the hard way as the combined units defended their positions. In the air, clearing the way for the airborne to land, 8 more fighters from the SDF’s inventory were shot down, with the majority of the kills being attributed to the F-16 and the F-35. 3 planes would be lost during the operation, but after they had dropped off their cargo. One would manage a landing and have its crew be taken prisoner, while the other two would be complete losses.

Phase II

At around 1300 hours units began making their way over the breach. The first unit to make it over the line would be A company, 2nd squadron, 8th cavalry regiment, 1st armored brigade combat team (ABCT) 10th armored division. This unit was the leading armored scout platoon that was clearing a path across the border for the division. The defenders across the border offered nearly no resistance, as the vicious air campaign made it impossibly hard for SDF forces to move vital supplies and build any sort of a defensive line. The newer M1A2 tanks fielded by Galavaria made short work of any of the ancient armor employed by the SDF. 10th armored and 1st infantry set a breakneck pace over the border, and reached their phase III positions along the Dzikoml border on the 10th. On the 12th after a day of rest, the 10th armored began orienting themselves north to begin their portion of phase three. In the early morning hours of the same day, the 1st infantry had already begun their drive south.

This could not have come at a better time, as II corps had run into stiff resistance. The plan for II corps was to follow on the right flank of I corps attack, then pivot southward at the vital city of štěrbina. The city sat at the mouth of the kolébka river, which stretched down into Moldajov. Geography played more of a role in the stiff resistance than anything. The rocky hills surrounding the city rapidly give way to the Země obrů mountain range. Some of the units of the SDF that were supposed to be in the path of I corps ended up being caught in the way of II corps advance. On top of this, units along the border retreated south directly into the 6th infantry’s rear. What would follow would be 4 days of near constant combat for II corps. Eventually they would fight their way to positions outside the city, and be forced into brutal hill to hill and street to street combat. This would last for 2 weeks, and massively slow the advance for the 1st infantry, who bypassed the city on the 19th. They would push south meeting just enough resistance to force them to stop some 200km from štěrbina on the 26th.

Phase III

Far to the north, by the farming town of pšenice, the 88th jagers would meet up with the beleaguered TF dagger on the 7th. By the 9th the battle would be over, and the SOF units would pull back to friendly lines to start planning rescue missions.

Further north of them, in Stredisko, the 25th would be in an intense fight against the only armored units left in Stazawaka. They would be pushed from their positions on the velka on the 11th. The 88th jagers would consolidate their position on the airfield, along with scattered units of the 25th. They would be on paper encircled the night of the 11th. It was only ever on paper, as the SDF’s 2nd and 5th armored regiments had to massively overextend to both fight the 25th and encircle the city. They were supported by a scattered infantry regiment, but the tide did not remain in the favor of the SDF. On the 16th, having met no resistance on their drive north, the 10th armored would be positioned 25km from the fighting. On the 17th the SDF’s armor would attempt to meet the resting tankers in battle, but this would only draw them out into their kill zones. A slaughter would ensue, and the city would be recaptured on the 19th after the 25th bypassed the tank battle and decided on the unprepared infantry regiment. The 88th-25th group trapped on the airfield would be relieved on the 18th. What kept them alive so long was a consistent and almost uncontest air supply. On the 23rd, an overnight raid on a stazawakan prison would rescue the lost FRG agent. Three days later on the 25th a larger raid on a temporary POW camp would free most of the POWs taken throughout combat operations.

By the 26th, III corps had reached the gates of the capital with only minor resistance. They descended on those retreating from the fighting around Stredisko on the 19th. The units in their sector had been handily destroyed by the 15th, when they cornered them at the battle of Stary Hill. On the 30, after four days of bombardment, the Stazawaka government would sign a ceasefire. The last unit to see ground action would be operators from SOD-A, when they got into a firefight within the city during a classified mission. On the first of July 2021, the Treaty of Stredisko would be signed, giving Galavaria control of a significant amount of land, and abolish the current government of Stazawaka. The new government would be hand picked by King Brandt, with advice from the Council of Lords. Throughout combat operations, GAF (galavarian armed forces) would lose 362 men to 1,059 SDF soldiers.

Later this week the Umi no Mura (海の村) archaeological dig site will open as a brand new tourist attraction located near the coastal city of Tamaimizu in the Mizuno region. The dig site has been recreated to mimic the layout and the structures of the early Jumin people who inhabited the land around the 3100BC - 1800BC timeline. The Jumin people are amongst some of the oldest humans that inhabited the lands of Ashia, and have proven to be a large resource in the region's transition from hunter-and-gatherer lifestyle to a more permanent settled lifestyle. Inside the grounds there will be many different mock buildings visitors can enter, as well as observe genuine Jumin-era buildings that have been unearthed and preserved.

There is also a museum building nearby that houses artefacts of the Jumin people. Many of the art unearthed around this dig site suggest that the Jumin people practiced a religion not far from modern Ashian-Shinto beliefs. This has caused a small argument to erupt as some Ashian historians now believe that Shinto beliefs started in this area, rather than the previously agreed upon Hokan region. Of major importance to the Jumin people that relate to current Ashian Shinto are the gods Tsukuyomi, Amaterasu, and Suijin. Though they may not have shared the names the animalistic depictions of each god is vaguely similar. Amaterasu and Tsukuyomi depicted by a White and Black wolf running in a circle, and Suijin depicted as a blue turtle. Further investigation will be held in hopes of finding more links to Jumin advances and culture.

Mahran Noor Government faced protests and crumbled;
Not since the Reformation Cabinet of 1998, did a Liberal majority was reached in the Parliament of Jouf, and on the 12th of July, protests began breaking out first from the National Student Council of Beraydah, and across the Syajaratun Province, after the Minority Government continued to refuse in conceding power to the Liberal opposition after the PM Mahran Noor refused to budge for a new liberal budget, which was pretext used by the protestors in demanding for new elections. The NSCB protests however was met with crackdown from the ACB (Anti Crime Bloc) of Jouf. Protests had originally been peaceful, with the demonstrators passing out flags, and chanting for free and fair democratic elections to be held, including handing the police roses by the student protestors as a sign of peace.

On one such occassion, the Chief of Police for the Central District of Port Fuad, visited the protestors on Palace Street, just five miles from the local Assembly building in Port Fuad. However peace would not last, as allegedly, the police claimed that the organisers of the protest gave directives on radicals to 'attack' the police line, whereas the official protest communicado stated that the police marched first and provoked the protestors to commit in self defense, either way, clashes of protestors and police, ending in police firing rubber bullets at protestors, leaving several major injuries on protestors. This event happened during Mahran Noor's state visit to meet with SOUTH delegates, in discussion of oil and natural gas affairs. In a comment left by the Deputy Lord Chancellor, the Earl Haam Viscount Mu'taz, "It is most concerning of the political situation developing in Jouf." Over the course of the events, the popularity of Noor's Government plummeted, with protests turning violent in the capital and parts across the country, with the Mahran in Aotaruo, being forced to deploy military forces, despite Parliament's negative suggestion, as a little bird alias our sources with the Government, indicating that the Cabinet is preparing to remove the Prime Minister, in favor of the Second Minister of the Crown, or the Second Prime Minister, Said El Said.

However, the Cabinet didn't had to take any radical measures, as after the return of Mahran to Beraydah, and failing to reach a consensus to react on the 22nd of July, the Prime Minister of Jouf, Mahran Noor, only having served in his position for 4 months, resigned. By-constitution, and the State Amendment Act of 1958, as well as the Government Act of 1911, the Basic Law of Jouf required the Cabinet as a whole to resign with the Prime Minister should the party does not reach a majority in Parliament. And for the first time since 1998, a Liberal Government was formalised on the evening of the 23rd of July, 2021.

The main north to south road in Bordon has been shut, the government plans to expand the road to have 3 lanes either way 100mph speed limit instead of a one lane either way 50 mph speed limit. This will make the road the fastest and widest road in the country allowing fast travel and less traffic problems, it will be Borlands first motorway and fastest road which should help the transport of goods around the country, this road expansion is expected to be completed at the beginning of December as Borland is trying to be as fast as possible in this road upgrade.

Borlish Prison System
Borland have decided that long prison sentences are ineffective, the new maximum sentence for criminals is 40 years (unless they have done something extremely horrific then an exception will be made and they will be sentenced to life). Current Prison sentences will remain the same however.

News In State 15
State 15 has seen an increase in violent crimes against minorities (who are actually a majority in state 15) the state governor of state 15 has decided to build a hard border between state 15 and the rest of Borland to prevent racists from getting in and murdering. However this has had the opposite effect as an estimated 10,000 racists have snuck into the capital of state 15 and are hanging around as a militia in the city fully armed, they currently haven’t killed anyone but the governor thinks it’s only a matter of time before they kick off.

Attempted Assassination Of James II Of Borland
James II of Borland has been shot and is in critical condition, the Royal Guard have closed the area where he was killed and are slaughtering everyone. The king was standing on his balcony before being hit with a bullet to the chest. The royal guard blew up the building where the bullet came from and killed everyone in the area around it, Police have swarmed the area and have closed the streets. All of Bordon has been put into lockdown.

Bordon Prison Falls
Bordon prison falls after a riot took over the prison. 15,000 dangerous criminals are kept in this prison and some of whom are escaping. The military have arrived to kill everyone leaving the prison and to try to restore order to the prison.

Criminals Rage Through The Streets
Criminals from the fallen prison rage the streets, and criminals who have not been caught yet are joining their ranks amid the chaos.

Martial Law Declared In Bordon
Bordon has become a war zone after the prison fell and the king has been shot, From The outskirts of Bordon thousands of gunshots can be heard along with the sound of explosions and sirens. You can see smoke rising above the city and fire enveloping many buildings

Borlish Anarchy (7:30PM)
Borland falls into anarchy as the king has died without an heir. There are violent battles taking place in all over the country and no one it there to stop it.

National Martial Law (7:54PM) 
The police have joined forces with the military in an attempt to restore order to the country. The leader of the Borlish military has taken  of control Borland and is now the de facto Dictator.

Attack On The Dead Kings Palace (7:57PM)
A man was arrested after bringing a bomb into king James II palace. He was found to be an escapee of the Bordon prison and sentenced to death, effective immediately.

Royal Guard face up against the Dictator (8:03PM)
The Royal Guard have accepted 10,000 loyal monarchists into their ranks and allowed a further 60,000 to join the fight with them (but not become royal guards) the leader of the royal guard has decided that James III (James’ brother) it the rightful ruler of Borland. The Royal Guard have engaged the Ex Borlish military and are fighting for Bordon. Once they beat the Ex Borlish military they will kill the leader of the military for treason.

Police Swap Sides
The police have joined the side of the royal guard and have also joined in the battle for Bordon. 11,350 have died today in the chaos. (8,000 escaped prisoners 1,000 civilians, 1,000 Borlish police, 1,300 Borlish military, 50 royal guard)
 
Battle For Bordon
Gunshots echo in the distance, through the streets of charred buildings. Bodies litter the streets. Smoke still rises to the sky from buildings that are still burning and from gun and cannon smoke. The Royal Guard have most of the Ex Borlish military on side so they have access to the countries military bases. The Resistance from the Borlish military who have decided to fight the royal guard is all in Bordon. Tanks roll into the city with royal guard symbols painted on them. The tank fires on the Ex Borlish military who are resisting the Royal Guard. Royal Guards swarm into the Ex Borlish military they run the through with bayonets and fire their guns. Ex Borlish soldiers fall as their fight to take over Borland begins to lose.

State 15 is taken by a private military
State 15 has been taken over by a private military who believe in a democracy, the military wish to expand out and take over all of Borland and make them democratic. Due to the the small amount of Borlish forces on the west side of the country their expansion should be fairly easy.

Leader of the Borlish military assassinated
The leader of the Borlish military has been assassinated, the Borlish military that were under his command have all swapped sides and joined the monarchists. 

Bordon Back Under Borlish Government Control
Bordon is back under control of the monarchy. The new king has taken control of the country. Armed Police patrols are set up all around Bordon and the city is still on lockdown, however fighting has mostly stopped. Borlish police have also retaken the prison and any escaped prisoners will be returned there. Majority of the escaped prisoners have been caught and sentenced to death (around 8,000).

Democratic Military Surrender 
The Democratic Military surrender in state 15 and the leader of the military is arrested along with the leader of state 15. Both have been sentenced to life in  Bordon Political Holding Facility. 

King James III arrested
King James III has been arrested under suspicion of the regicide of King James II. Police raided the royal palace earlier today, the royal guard didn’t put up a fight as they agree that the new king should be served justice for the murder of King James II

James III found guilty
James III has been found guilty of the murder of king James II and has been sentenced to life in Bordon Political holding facility. He has been stripped of his royal title aswell as this. He pleaded guilty to shooting James II. He said he used a Assault rifle and named the rifle and it matched the bullet that was found during the kings autopsy.

New Borlish National Leader
Borland now has a new national leader, they turned up at the Royal Palace and just walked in unnapposed with 1,000 soldiers. They have claimed they would like to remain anonymous and that the country is now under control of a very far right individual.

New Leader Makes First Moves
The new leader of the country has already changed something within the nation, they have decided that Borlish free speech against the government is now gone. They have decided to turn a blind eye to killing of LGBT community and ethnic minorities from other countries..

Chaos At State 15 Airports
State 15 airports are in chaos as the minority groups try to escape the country. State 15 police are aiding their escape but it is only a matter of time before national forces show up and shut down the airport. State 15 estimate that they can hold against the government for at least a week.

Borlish army arrive in county 15
The Borlish army have arrived in County 15 and have grounded all planes leaving from County 15. The remaining ethnic minorities who haven’t escaped are now stuck in County 15

Killings Begin To Increase
As of now 4 kanadorikan citizens have been killed along with 20 other minority races. The police have been ordered to just ignore these killings.

Borlish Concert
Today Borland is having a huge heavy metal concert, 300,000 tickets have been sold and Bordon streets are flooding with people from all over the country. Borland’s new national leader has ordered an increased police presence in the area to prevent any illegal behaviour. 

Many people have been looking forward to this concert but are scared to enter Bordon due to the recent fighting that has been going on, however the new national leader has assured the nation that nothing will ever escalate to that level again.

First Borlish Motorway Going Well
Despite all of the fighting going on elsewhere in the country, the Borlish motorway is coming along nicely, the government have sold plots of land along the motorway to service providers. Many service providers have taken up this land due to its decreased price. The Government plans to try and rebuild Borland by the end of 2022.

Borlish Services
For the first time ever, all homes in Borland have access to electricity, water and sewage. The electricity is also clean electricity, as Borland banned any other types of electricity before they had built too much to go back. The new leader of Borland is happy with this achievement and the people are happy with him because for the first time, a Borlish ruler has had something good happen during their time ruling the country!

Borlish Communications Company Announce Level Up Of Services
BCC have announced that they would like to upgrade their cellular connection from L2 to L3 - (4G equivalent). They have announced that all of Bordon will get this by the summer of 2022 and plan to cover the rest of the nation by 2025. BCC also plan to upgrade some homes to fibre optic internet connection (albeit for a much higher price) in an attempt to speed up the Borlish Natinet (Borland isn’t connected to the worlds internet only an exclusive Borland version)

Borlish Concert
The Borlish concert that is going on I’m Bordon has had no problems so far! (That’s a first) the Police have kept the area safe and the people are having a very fun time!

Number Of Ethnic Minorities Killed Increases
The number of minorities has increased from 24 to 100, 20 of whom are Kanadorikan Nationals.

LGBT community sent to concentration camps
Anyone found to be part of the LGBT community will be sent to concentration camps along with anyone who speaks out against the government.

Borlish National Leader Reveals Himself
The National leader is called Darvo Vengeance, he is a very well known far right group leader. He has very strong opinions and has shown to have good leadership skills by leading multiple groups. 

He has in the past served 2 years in prison for running an organisation against the king.


The Great Leader has announced that he will fix Borland, he will level up infrastructure and improve laws to give the Borlish citizens the happiest place.

Borlish Supreme Leader Releases Some Prisoners
50,000 people who are in the prisons of Borland were put their by stupid reasons by the former monarchy of Borland, The new national leader has ordered the pardon and release of all of these people as the monarchy had robbed them of time in their life for literally no reason.

Due to the empty space in prisons, inmates don’t have to be as cramped and can now share a room with only one other inmate instead of 3 other inmates.

Terrorist Group Arrested
A group of 10 people have been arrested by the ISBN after being flagged as potential terrorists, their homes were raided and all 10 were caught. Their phones have been searched and ISBN have found plans to enter Kanadorika and commit acts of terrorism. These criminals will be sentenced tomorrow as enough evidence has been found for them to be proved guilty.
