Piispa Henrik: Lapeenkoski has been the location of increasing scrutiny as the major political parties scramble to swoop up votes in the Empire's most populous canton. Nowhere is this more apparent than in the city of Piispa Henrik and the surrounding Bay Area; the tech capital of the world. It's here where the Liberals and Labour are gripped in a battle to win the hearts and minds of the metropolitan population.

Piispa Henrik has held a liberal streak since the early days of the Lapeenkoski gold rush. With the discovery of gold in the towering Koivisto Mountains, hundreds of thousands poured into the canton in hopes they would strike it rich, with the vast majority making landfall in Piispa Henrik. Thus the city had early on managed to attract a population of outsiders and independents, establishing itself as a hub for prostitution, gambling, liquor, and violence. Yet this is precisely what the citizens of the city were content with. Amid the outlaw shootings and barroom brawls lay freedom from the otherwise overbearing morals of a Viktorian Parliament. Indeed, this was the land where the law was selfdom enforced, and after the gold rush dwindled down, Piispa Henrik continued to attract immigration from those seeking to escape "civilized society", mirroring Gulland in this respect. As such, the city became a stronghold for the Liberal Party, running on a campaign of preserving the independent spirit found in the Bay Area.

As time bore on and the scars of heavy industry bore its full weight on city life, a new political faction emerged in Piispa Henrik. Inspired by the reforms made by Socialist MP turned Prime Minister Josef Brynjúlfsson, the downtrodden of the city showed support for the Socialist Party, which promised better living conditions and work environments.

Fast forward to the late 20th century. The collapse of the USRK meant that multiple political parties had to vie for dominance in Parliament. The explosion of the tech sector centered around the Piispa Henrik Bay Area, which once again attracted thousands of this time digital prospectors looking to make it rich quick with silicon as opposed to gold. The Liberal Party gained a foothold in the Bay Area, but unlike the days of the Gold Rush, still had to compete with the Labour Party that saw support from the less privileged members of society.

By the 21st century, Piispa Henrik and much of the Bay Area had grown so expensive that the Labour supporting population had been driven out, often into constituencies that had already tended to vote Socialist. Thus the current question regarding the election is if the Liberals have enough support in Piispa Henrik to carry a win in the city, perhaps turning Lapeenkoski yellow. If Labour retains a significant presence in the city, the fate of Lapeenkoski could lay red.

Nevertheless, most polling points to the Labour Party as holding a comfortable lead across Kanadorika. The outcome of the election in Lapeenkoski is significant in that it could determine whether the Liberals could surpass the Unionists in Parliament and possibly force the Socialists into a minority government, despite a plurality of votes. In such a scenario, a coalition could be formed by the Unionists and Liberals, thwarting any major policy changes made by the Socialists and forecasted future Prime Minister Eðvarð Grímólfssom.

Update: The polls have closed in Lapeenkoski. The Liberal Party has carried the canton, changing the previously Labour majority canton yellow. The Unionists have come in a solid third place, carrying the predominantly rural counties whereas the Liberals saw success in wealthier metropolitan areas.



Update: Labour secures a majority in West Akrifa, proving particularly strong in urban areas. The Unionists saw success in a broad majority of cantons, though could not achieve the sheer number of votes for Labour, which outperformed the Unionists nearly two to one.  





Update: Eporiki votes majority Labour as Unionists lose Hveitiland and the Twin Cities to the Socialists.





Update: The results have come in for Hvidovia, Leirhofn, and Eyjanic Hameentra, with Labour carrying all three nations, furthering their lead in the election.





Update: The Liberals have won Northurland in a landslide, taking the vast majority of metropolitan areas within the nation.

Under the command of the Special Operations command, SOD will create 3 task forces for operations concerning Ninhundland.

Task Force Red: SOD-A’s 1st 2nd, and 3rd squadron along with field officers from the Office of external affairs

Task Force Gold: SOD-C’s 2nd and 3rd Squadron, along with 1 company from the 88th Jager Regiment.

TF Red will stage all along the border and assist corps level commands with on the ground intelligence gathering, along with providing cover for agents from the office to do their work.

TF white will stage on the Lake Scylla on the border, and conduct small boat operations in it.

TF Gold will remain on standby, to be activated at the start of hostility or as situations arise. Pre hostilities situation include pilot recovery operations.

The 88th Jager Regiment will remain on standby to conduct parachute operations in Ninhundland

The 25th Airborne Division will remain in ready reserve along with the 18th Infantry Division (National Reserve Corps)

The Eastern Spring has begun, signalling a dramatic turn in Michise - Ashian relations, with the Sixth Prince of Michu, Guliao, making public his engagement to Masumi Oshiro. Typically, Imperial Marriages are relatively private affairs, with local clans providing the best of their daughters to the Yongsheng Ulanara family to continue the bloodline. This is performed in quiet ceremonies, among the families, with the ‘winning’ family receiving an enormous bride price, and achieving high influence in the Imperial court. However, with the rare marriage outside of the Weishun Clans, the Sixth Prince has broken tradition, causing many in the Imperial Clan to grow increasingly frustrated. The date for the wedding is set for the third of April, with an array of Imperial servants taking the lead in organising the ceremony in accordance with both Imperial, and Ashia wedding rites. Guliao, who has been among the more publicly known Imperial Princes, is infamous for his taste in culture, with him being responsible for the most recent palace scandal, as Guliao was said to have ‘inappropriately commanded improper service from a maid’, that was reported to the media. However, Guliao retreated from the public view, since 2019, with this announcement, he is reported to be in far better physical shape, with a less pale appearance, with a radiant smile. Born sometime in the late 1990s, or early 2000s, Guliao was never destined to be the Emperor, though he has taken lowly government posts, such as Minister for Fisheries. He has previously refused to marry, though he has taken ‘favourite servants’, with many stating that he is quite the womaniser. Additionally, Guliao has been stated to be behind recent Palace modernisation programs, sponsoring foreign musicians, and enjoys Ashian culture, as well as Kanadorikan Kanime. His family have been divided, with the Seventh Princess posting an ancient poem on Squeaker “Tejian squat in high places, rendering the high low.”, meaning that the privileged betray their station, degrading their families. The Tenth Princess, Lingwei, gave an opposing statement, conveying her support. “I fully support the decision of my dearest brother Guliao in his marriage, and wish the lovely Masumi Oshiro a long and happy life!” Grumblings have generally been relegated, as many Weishun Clanwomen have outright refused to marry Guliao in the past, despite tradition demanding it. The Oshiro family operates many companies, including but not limited to fishing, banking and finance. The pair met during a minor summit on marine life, during Guliao’s tenure as Minister for Fisheries, though Masumi’s interests in Marine life are no doubt greater. When briefly speaking to the press regarding their first meeting, Oshiro spoke jovially, “I was entranced by his dignity and manner, heavenly voice, and the way he crafted the most poetic of idioms, all used masterfully to disguise his total ignorance on the topic. He was entranced by my breasts.” Her statement left press agents gossiping, though it drew contempt from the traditionalists in Michu, who expect Oshiro to conform to Imperial standards.

“Following voting by Congress today, the highly controversial conscription act has been ended. President Klaasen signed the bill into law this morning, to be effective by the end of the month.”
The TV blared in the background as I packed my bags. Just that morning I had gotten the call to report to Fort St. Geefsweer for basic training. As a young man, I’d had to register for the draft, but I’d never have thought the lottery would have chosen me.

“‘Today we see the end of this, frankly, barbaric tradition of forcing our young men into service,’ said the President this afternoon at a press conference. I’d have to say, I agree with him. Those who are turning 18 no longer have to worry about service anymore. To those who have been called up, you have my deepest sympathies.”
Sympathy. Wow, that helped a lot, and it didn’t get me out of service. From what I’d heard about Ft. St. Geefsweer, it was hell on earth. Only two people I knew had been drafted and I was the unlucky third. I stilled myself as I boarded the plane to what I figured was hell.

Earlier this month the marriage of an Ashian officials daughter and a prince of the Michise throne was publicly announced. Masumi Oshiro, daughter of Akio Oshiro, a noble of the region of Mizuno, has given her hand in marriage to Prince Guilao. The marriage is slated to happen in April. The Crown of Ashia stated that they are elated that the relation of these two are coming to fruition. It is a sign that both Michise and Ashian people are starting to stop the long heated rivalry between the two Hezranan powers. The family also remarked that they are elated for the nobleman's daughter, wishing her and the Michise prince a lasting and fruitful relationship. A rare gesture from the crown. This marks the start of further increasing the relations between the two powers, which have always been at odds. Hoping for a fortunate relationship between the two, Empress Ria is open to talks from the Michise government and Crown.


Five Ashians have lost their lives attempting to complete the ultimate climb, Mt. Þrumuský. The climbers were all experienced climbers, conquering the Amspitzel Mountains and various mountain ranges in Hezrana. So far, only 2 bodies have been recovered, the other three are still missing. The Kópahólmurian has returned the bodies to Ashia, and proper ceremonies will be held for the families on their respective regions. Following the codes of the families respective clans, ceremonies will be held on Taira and Motoko. The other three bodies, if found, will be given the same honors. If the bodies are unable to be recovered, the families will be visiting the mountain, to pay their respect.

Nationalists pushed back
The Northern Army launched another attack into the south and gained a kilometre of land, southern troops are falling back to their more heavily armed trenches further back. Northern troops took heavy losses this time, southern forces are fighting as hard as they can to prevent the north getting down. The Northern armed forces leader has denied that the Nationalists have had any casualties, he is also on the frontlines himself (see photo below).

Nationalists Raid Kanadorikan Embassy
In response to Northern Ogliarchs being arrested, Nationalist troops raid the kanadorikan embassy, killing 2 people and arresting everyone else.

Soldiers encircled the embassy after the government were notified of the arrest of one of their funders, the doors of the embassy were kicked off of their hinges and heavily armed soldiers spilled into the room and shot two people before arresting everyone else.

Those arrested will probably made to do forced labour to build concentration camps where they and an increasing number of others will be held. Southern Intelligence have spotted multiple large construction sites in the state of Wolfstadt as well as prison vans going to and from this construction site.

Borders Close And Flights Are Grounded
The north upon hearing of other countries urging their people to evacuate, have closed the borders and ordered all flights to be grounded or be shot down. The douglandic embassy staff have had arrest warrants issued by the corrupt high court of the northern states.

South Launches new offensive
HMAF have launched an offensive on the northern troops, thousands of southern troops have been spotted trying to punch a hole in the Nationalist lines in an attempt to encircle a part of their army.

From major cities in Schwöbenland the thunder of artillery and gunfire can be heard. Closer to the battlefield in northern Neu Flondar you can physically feel the artillery pounding the ground aswell as the huge sonic booms from fighter jets dogfighting overhead. Dogfighting is a new addition to this war that was originally mostly ground based, the north is desperately trying to gain air superiority to claw back a chance of winning.

Douglandic Cruise Missiles hit targets in Northern Schwöbenland


The Douglandic Department of Defense during a press conference claims that Douglandic bombers have carried out cruise missile strikes against military targets in Northern Schwöbenland on Saturday night in response to the Northern government’s attack on the Kanadorikan embassy and invasion of the democratic South.

The Douglandic strike on Northern Schwöbenland which occurred at about 11;30 p.m., saw 56 cruise missiles launched from 8 DB-3 Bombers.

“The strike lasted a couple of minutes. It targeted aircraft, aircraft shelters, petroleum and logistical storage, air defense systems, ammunition storage, command & control centers, and radars across the country,” a spokesperson said.

Additionally, President Louis Fabiano has authorized the deployment of 20 DD-2 drones to aid Southern Schwöbenlandish forces against the North.

The Douglandic Department of Defense has estimated that the cruise missile strikes eliminated 17 aircraft, Dozens of vehicles, and 700 personnel.

Day 4 - Trench Warfare Continues
The trench warfare is continuing across the front, no side is making gains. Anyone who tries to use tanks is hit by barrages of anti tank weaponry and aircraft are torn apart with a torrent of AA fire. Artillery appears to be one of the most used things in this war as the death toll climbs. Both sides of the war are conscripting civilians to go into basic training and then on to fight.



The King has declared support for the south but has refused to leave his palace in Uberlandia. Due to this fact Northern armed forces are trying to take the palace, however they will not use destructive weapons on the palace as it is considered a historical location in Schwöbenland. Insurgents in the North have joined with the Royal Guard and are so far Repelling any attacks on the palace.

Videos have also circulated online of the kanadorikan embassy staff, being forced to work in a Northern concentration camp. In the video one of the embassy staff Is shot dead by a guard after complaining about working. The leader of the South has strongly condemned this and the use of concentration camps as a whole. The Anonymous leader of the insurgents has also stated “Guards responsible for this act the video will suffer a grave fate, sooner rather than later”

The Douglandic embassy was also raided earlier today by northern Police. Everyone inside was arrested, the north attributes this to the fact that Dougland has joined the war effort against the north. The North is powerless in these circumstances and appears to be striking a few low blows to other countries in the form of arresting embassy staff. The order was issued by the Head Of Schwoben Armed Forces And Defence (Photo below), who is also currently involved fights on the frontline in the civil war.

In a recent press conference, Secretary of Defense Elsu Clarke has announced that troops and additional Douglandic military assets will be deployed to Southern Schwöbenland to further support Coalition allies.

The Douglandic Armed Forces will send a total of 25,000 troops and aircraft of all types in this new deployment, said Secretary Clarke. However, Mr. Clarke could not say how many aircraft would be sent or where in Dougland they will be coming from.

“The units being deployed to Schwöbenland are the 2nd Cavalry Division, 17th Artillery Brigade, 501st Mechanized Brigade, and 3rd Armored Brigade. Commanders of said units have been notified of their deployment and will begin preparations for transit to theatre immediately.” Clarke said.

The decision to send these troops and military assets was "based on a teleconference that President Fabiano had with his Southern Schwöbenlandish and Kanadorikan counterpart,” said Clarke.

After a phone call was made by President Fabiano of Dougland to the Il Duce of Nova Roma on the urgency of the situation growing in Schwobenland and video footage was sent to Nova Roma with faxed documents on Southern Schwobenland reports on the aggression and brutality of the Northern forces, it was deemed by Nova Roma that a withdraw of operations should be begun as an appropriate response.
      The Il Duce earlier came out to his balcony to give his speech to the press and the people, dressed in his usual military uniform of Nova Roma with him looking dead towards the crowd with his good right eye and began to speak to the people with his arms crossed.
    "I have just left a urgent meeting with our head officials and generals on the news I have just been given which disappoints me. I was sitting at my desk in my office working on official government documents while being briefed on the economy and planning a future meeting to improve it, when I am interrupted by my phone ringing directly to my line, the only people with such access to this phone is state officials and nations we have very close relations with. As I go to answer the phone my secretary walks in and tells me it is President Fabiano of Dougland. I answer the phone and ask the president what this is about, the president then informs me of the deployment of Dougland to the South and that he urges me to cut ties to the North. I tell him we have already discussed the matter and he knows I will defend the North as they have done nothing  wrong and we believe it is their right to be fascist, he then tells me that he has sent some urgent documents to me through his embassy on what the North has been doing and urges me to talk to the current general in the North Schwobenland on why he has done such an aggressive move and that our further involvement would be breaking the military agreement on the attack on their embassy, I ask him what he is talking about as the embassy, as I have told all of you (gestures to the crowd and now starts making hand gestures), the embassy of Dougland in Schwobenland has been surrounded by police and are not allowed to leave until the conflict is over for their own safety. (he starts to lean in towards the crowd now) the president then informs me that the embassy has been sieged violently and that North Schwobenland forces opened fire upon them starting a shootout. The president urged me to call him back once I received all of the files he has had faxed through the embassy here and sent a video of surveillance from inside the embassy. I then called an emergency meeting and once the files arrived with the video we reviewed them all, and do you know what I saw with my staff? A long list of not only brutality against POW's which has been hidden from us but also on civilians being attacked and towns rampaged in occupied Northern territory, this is all from most of the major areas except for where legione dell'ascia, our trained and equipped battalion of soldiers we deemed appropriate for training, there was heavy violence against civilians, this is something I do not suport but to a level we are questioning if partisans may have been involved as well as the facts that war is brutal. Then we saw the video, it showed the full security siege of the Dougland embassy and how the police opened fire upon the guards and try to force their way in, as well s the illegal execution of some employees. This has convinced me that the situation is much worse than we have been told by the General and briefings in North Schwobenland. I am now ordering our active units in Schwobenland to begin demobilizing with legione dell'ascia until further decisions can be made on what to do on the situation. Until then I shall confirm that Nova Roma shall indeed continue to to stay out of a costly war and shall continue the peaceful stance that you wanted. (the crowd then cheers as the Il Duce waves and returns inside).

Royal Decree Issued
A royal decree has been issued by the king himself, any POWs will be processed to make sure they were not involved in the orders of embassy attacks, ran concentration camp or were involved in northern high government in any way. Any POWs found to be involved in these will be imprisoned separately from other POWs and at the end of the war will all collectively be trialed by a high court. And punished accordingly to their crimes against humanity, the schwoben people and embassy staff of other nations.

This comes as videos of Northern Crimes are circulating Schwöben social media, social media providers have been urged to remove the “shocking” scenes from their sites but, to send the video to the Southern Police to be passed off to RSBI to help catch some of the war criminals.

Second Schwoben Civil War - Day 7
Southern Forces are wearing down the northern lines, air superiority is mostly in the south’s favour now. The King has given a speech to the nation today also, stating that “the nation of Schwöbenland owes so much to those who uphold the homelands laws, constitution and fights the evil that is clawing it’s way into our glorious state. Those who are preventing that from happening are the heroes of this nation.” As the King was making his speech gunfire could be heard from outside the palace. Despite calls for the king to leave his palace, which is deep behind enemy lines in Uberlandia, he has refused stating that he himself would go out and fight the northern soldiers if all else fails. 

Fighting in some parts of Neu Flondar is extremely difficult as there is lots of rainforest, but this is also to the advantage of the south as a lot of southern troops are trained in combat in forests aswell as out in the open. However most northern soldiers are barely trained at all and poorly organised. Some believe this will be the Civil War to end Schwobem Civil Wars (the last Schwöben civil war would have been in feudal Schwöbenland, before the nation was called Schwöbenland).

An Estimated 1 Million people have been displaced over the course of this war, whether expelled by the North or fleeing the North.

At least two apartments in Sealth were raided on Friday after they had been visited last week by a suspected associate of the Lorsalian Fascist Party, according to officials.

Several arrests were made along with the discovery of explosives and other weapons. The raids were conducted by the DSB’s infamous “Alpha Group” officials said. Law enforcement officials also claimed that they had recovered documents that planned for a bombing of this year’s Treaty of Peikang anniversary parade.

Officials claim that during the raids, three suspects attempted to use firearms against DSB operatives. However, Alpha Group members shot the suspects before they were able to fire their weapons.

In total, eight individuals have been arrested and are believed by officials to be part of a larger cell of Lorsalian terrorists operating in Dougland.

The weapons discovered during the raid are of Lashingtonian and Schwöbenlandish origin.

Officials believe that both North Schöbenland and Lashington supported the would-be terrorists in response to Dougland’s actions towards both governments.

Day 8 - SBD operation “Gold”
Silence. We crept through the sleeping jungle towards our target, who was unaware of our presence. 10 of us, SBD operatives on a mission to completely dismantle the final Northern Airbase left. Piercing through the silence of the night, jet engines. The jet flew low over the air base discharging hundreds of explosives, the jet was gone before the anti-air could even respond. The base exploded in a light show of fire. Gunfire from the last survivors of the base joined the melancholy tune of explosions which rocking the earth beneath our boots. It was our time to advance.



The Southern Schwoben military have destroyed the final significant airbase of the North. The south reigns supreme in the air, raining hell upon Northern forces involved in the war. This could be a complete turning point in the war, and a spanner in the works of the northern war machine.

Intelligence also suggests that the northern forces are facing huge logistical issues. Lack of supplies plagues the northern forces as they conscript more men than they could possibly provide equipment for, especially considering the dire situation of industry in the north and the huge deficit the northern government faces. Not to mention the removal of some of their largest funders through foreign sanctions and seizures of property. The north are quite literally throwing men at the south, the only reason they are causing a stalemate on the frontline. But the north can only keep this up for so long before they run out of those willing to serve. With a doctrine of - "Perfect" weapons are overrated, a large number of "good enough" weapons is the path to victory! - the northern army trudge along the long road toward an inevitable defeat.

Coalition Forces Launch Major Offensive into Northern Schwöbenland

This morning Douglandic tanks and armored vehicles were seen advancing North under the cover of darkness along with support from artillery and aircraft.

The surprise offensive was met with an announcement on Squeaker from The Douglandic Armed Forces stating that “Coalition forces have begun major combat operations against the terrorist regime of North Schwöbenland.”

Following the announcement, the DSB has labeled the Northern Schwöbenlandish government as a terrorist organization. Along with offering $10,000 for any information regarding the perpetrators of the attack on the Douglandic Embassy.

Day 9
Kanadorikan and Douglandic troops have began to make a push into north Schwöbenland. Along with them the southern forces have joined in. Aswell as southern forces opening up a new front to battle the northern lines, a naval battle has commenced around Furstenhaus. Supported from the sky and with a superior navy, the south should win this fight, and when they do it will pave the way for a naval invasion of Ozeanland and Uberlandia.

Douglandic Defense Secretary Eslu Clarke claimed that Northern Schwöbenlandish forces have committed war crimes against Coalition forces in a recent press conference.

This marks the first time a senior Douglandic official has accused the North of war crimes since the Schwöbenlandish civil war began.
