Earlier today, the Director of the Department of Tourism issued a level 4 travel warning on the nation of Borland advising tourists not to go there. The Director, Lyngþór Gao states in a press conference earlier today that the "situation in Borland" had escalated into "total anarchy". Several tourists to Borland in the past few years had gone to Borland and never returned. Many of them have been presumed to be dead.

Under the previous administration under Emperor Lu Mingchen, the travel warning had always been at level 3 since 2017. Since 2019, the Department of Tourism advice tourists to hire bodyguards and hire a driver to drive a bulletproof car and always have a lethal weapon on you while going to Borland. As you could tell, about 9/10 tourists to Borland never returned back to Jindou and those who did had received military training before.

The Borland survivors have recently told us about their near-death experience in Borland. "After I hired a driver to drive my bulletproof car, I felt safe", said Mr Lin, but he was wrong, "The driver stopped midway through the journey and pulled out a gun pointing at me." Fortunately, Mr Lin had served in the special forces and threw the driver out of the car.

Many in Nanhan have voiced support for a Nanhanese invasion of the country to overthrow the tyrannical dictator, King Hasson "the Great". According to the local news source, the situation there is getting better but to us, it is simply not.

The former Emperor of Jindou has recently died while in Exile in Michu. Despite being a tyrant, his funeral was attended by Prime Minister Lee Mankai and President Wang Yifei. Member of Parliament from several parties have also paid their respect to the late Emperor. The royal family have requested the body to be buried at his hometown of Wulin. As requested, the Nanhan government will arrange a separate funeral in Wulin. God Bless Nanhan.

The government have engaged further discussion about banning the death penalty. This idea has come about due to the fact that the population is being killed off by the death penalty and it isn’t bringing down crime. Here’s a video from the privy council room.

Borat - While the death penalty does save us from having to pay for the criminals, we could just make them work in the prisons to pay for their stay. Prisons should also attempt at rehabilitation the first time and then punishment if the person re offends.
Councillor 1 - Yes but our current prisons are in capable of holding that amount of criminals and what will happen to the gulag?
Borat - Gulags could be for re offenders and prisons could be for rehabilitation.
Councillor 2 - I like the idea. We should build more prisons and gradually change laws so that prisons aren’t filled instantly.

An extinct animal has been resurrected by cloning for the first time—though the clone died minutes after birth.

Last Wednesday, the scientific community had finally defied death. A team of researchers at the Aokelan University had resurrected an extinct species through cloning, albeit only for 20 minutes. The species in question is the Aotaruoan greater short-tailed bat, which has had no confirmed sightings since 1965. In prehistoric times it lived in the North and South Islands but by the time of Eyjanic arrival was restricted to small islands near Rakiura. As of last Tuesday, talks have begun between the governments of Taranaki and Aokelan over a support package for the beleaguered Aokelan economy. Currently, political and economic analysts say they expect Taranaki to roll over for Aokelan along with the hefty ᚠ20 billion of debt due next month.

For officials at Whakaahurangi, Taranaki, the whole ordeal echoes the events of 2004, when Taranaki came to Aokelan’s rescue through a multi-billion-krona package in the wake of the global financial crisis and a real estate crash in Aokelan. This time, Aokelan appears to be in a much more fortunate position, having established itself as a major tourist destination and financial hub in the Hezrana-Oceanic region, punching far above its weight and rivalling other world-class cities in Radhivkia, Nanhan, and Michu.

Aokelan has thus far, been immensely successful in adapting to a world that is becoming increasingly independent from oil, so the recent downturns in Aokelan stand as a warning to the other regions that diversification will not fix all of their problems. The warning rings loudest in Whangaotara, which has been following Aokelan’s example in economic diversification since the global financial crisis. Many still worry about the decline in economic growth, rising costs of living, and a general slowdown amongst oil economies ever since the 2017 Kanadorikan invasion of Terani.

Aokelan, the opulent jewel of the Nifimber, is now facing the risk of a debt crisis on par with the 2004 economic collapse that paralyzed the, at the time, seemingly invincible economic juggernaut of Aotaruo. The same crash that saw thousands slide into unemployment and homelessness, the crash that fractured Aotaruo’s stock market. Fortunately, back then Aotaruo left the global financial crisis relatively unscathed, having bounced back from its losses the next year whilst kicking off a series of economic reforms aimed at diversifying the economy to ensure that the future generations of Aotaruo would still be able to enjoy its wealth.

This time around there is no stock market crash, no dramatic collapse, but rather years of a struggling economy finally showing signs of breaking as a result of 3 years of downturn. The 2017 invasion of Terani, 2018 Hauraki oil spill, and the emergence of fusion energy have sent oil prices into decline, which has led to many pointing towards Aotaruo’s dependence on petroleum exports as the culprit for its recent failings. As of last Tuesday, the image of Aokelan facing a decline reminiscent to that of Hofnia’s has taken centre stage.

However, this is not the case. Of all the regions of Aotaruo, Aokelan is the least dependent on oil, with fossil fuels and other forms of carbon-based energy making up less than 1% of Aokelan’s gross regional product. After all, Aokelan has been heralded as a shining beacon of progress in terms of economic diversification. Analysts say that the emerging debt crisis in Aokelan is not directly caused by falling oil prices, but rather the loss in revenue that funds social services, subsidized housing, and economic incentives, that have led to the regional government of Aokelan becoming enthralled in 20 billion Kronas of debt.

This has been compounded by the decline in oil prices, but also by a massive influx of investment in Whangaotara and Waitaha as they have introduced more incentives for foreign companies in a bid to follow Aokelan’s example in economic diversification. This has strengthened the currency of Aotaruo, which ironically means that the decline in oil prices inadvertently made it more expensive for other countries to purchase Aokelan’s exports, whilst making imports cheaper, which has made Aokelan’s primary sectors less competitive internationally.

This year’s Hezrana Ocean Tsunami was perhaps one of the greatest tragedies witnessed by Aotaruo, with numerous lives lost, buildings destroyed, and livelihoods gone. Now, it is evident that the tsunami’s more long term impacts are beginning to be felt…

What’s clear is that tsunami inundated some of the region’s most prominent tourism destinations, killed nearly 7000 employees in the tourism industry across all the affected nations, and left tens of thousands more unemployed as a result. However, the effects on the tourism industry go much deeper than it may seem on the surface. Around this time of year, Christmas season, upwards of 3.87 million visitors arrive in Aokelan from all over the globe in order to witness the natural beauty of Aotaruo. However, this year has only seen 928 thousand visitors arriving in Aokelan, a 76% decrease.

What we are currently observing is the growing fear of another natural disaster occurring, with hotel bookings in the region decreasing by as much as 80% after the tsunami. Despite Aotaruo’s relative success in dealing with the disaster, and having the most advanced early warning earthquake and tsunami systems in the world, Aotaruo is certainly facing this issue as well. Whilst many analysts believe that the number of tourists in Aotaruo will bounce back in a year or two, this has exacerbated the increasingly devastating debt crisis that is affecting Aotaruo, and more specifically the Aokelan region.

This morning Prime Minister Tufele has sacked several cabinet ministers who had alleged that he had transferred upwards of ᚠ120m from the Fanuai Development Fund into his personal bank accounts. Amongst the sacked officials includes the likes of Tamah Ioane, the Deputy Prime Minister, who had criticized Tufele’s handling of the allegations surrounding the state investment fund.

Despite stacking his cabinet with supporters and silencing critics, despite his denials, suspicions haven’t been lifted. The people of Fanuai want answers. According to Arihi Maugatai, our Fanuaian political correspondent, this is likely to be a case of Tufele merely trying to buy time and ease some of the pressure temporarily.

Saleh Cabinet convenes Parliament
The Parliament of Jouf was summoned by the Caretaker Government of Jouf in discussions of public sanitary investments and the expansion of subsidizing healthcare as well as the complete abolishment on taxes into mortgage and rent payments as to stimulate public support to the Government. This was welcomed by the majority vote of the Royal Conservative Union, who saw this as a cautious action , in stirring up support for the Government. While those from the Liberal Opposition disagrees, arguing that such reforms is not enough to the eyes of the Opposition. Their calls for the Government to implement stronger reforms around both education, and the reinvogeration for a stronger healthcare policy has been overlooked by the Conservative Government since the last two months has been demanded again and Prime Minister Saleh approved, though reluctantly. His Cabinet approved simply because he wanted a stable Government and hopes that the Opposition would not interfere with his proposal for a new High Speed Rail network between Port Fuad and Port Said in the Syajaratun Province, supported by members of his Party and with support of the Emir who just wants to look as if he is truly behind his Government's goals.

Today, approximately 80,000 Anti-Government protesters clad in red and white festively marched through the heart of Fale bringing traffic to a standstill in several tourist spots, wrapping up peacefully in front of the iconic Fale Clock Tower after an initial plan to assemble at Independence Square was thwarted by police.

Tufele has faced harsh criticism ever since reports came out earlier this week that around ᚠ120 million from the Fanuai Development Fund was diverted into his personal bank account, and ever since the firing of the widely popular former Deputy Prime Minister Tamah Ioane, public support has been at an all time low. Tufele has taken steps which critics say aim to limit discussion of the scandal, such as sacking the deputy prime minister, replacing the attorney-general, suspending newspapers and blocking websites.

When interviewed, Setu Fualema, who is one of the organisers currently leading the Sunset Revolution Rally, said that “We are not here to destroy Fanuai, those who oppose us claim we want to tear the nation apart, but we love this country, we are this country! We will not tear Fanuai apart, we will unite Fanuai against corruption and tyranny!”

The Sunset Revolution is merely one of many groups protesting against the current government, with more rallies planned across other major cities such as Maulalo, A'ofanua, and Maafa set to occur next week.

Government investigates to new Terrorist Plots.
The Joufi Government has started a formal investigation to the recent attack committed against the Aotaruoan Embassy in Beraydah, close to the Beraydah Fish Market in East of Beraydah, the Foreign Ministry of Jouf had published an announcement in the Government bulletin that the State will not tolerate terrorism in any way, urges it's citizens to remain cautious, the Government of Jouf had formed a Committee as apart of both the Foreign Ministry, the Anti Crime Bloc and the Joufi Ministry of Justice to investigate the recent attacks. Chair of the Committee, Hassan Ali have concluded first hand that several witness statements and through a recent terrorist broadcast that the Judean Front for the Liberation of the East Bank have taken responsibility for the attacks, claiming that they are in their righteous cause to liberate the oppressed people of Judea under Joufian occupation since 1961. The Joufian Government had responded to the attacks, arresting 12 individuals accused of plotting the attacks and charging 5 of those 12 individuals.

Economic Stimulus Package to Healthcare passed
Proposed on the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of Jouf [Formerly Great Khural of the Joufian Grand Khural], the Liberal Opposition caved in to public pressure in accepting the economic stimulus package from recent trade deals and revenues of the recent economic boom in Jouf. KANA - Nanhan Cruise Private Limited more commonly known as Nanhan Cruise was recently investigated for an allegation of embezzlement by their CEO and Co-founder, Dalmar Lin. The company had a hard time recently as their only cruise ship, Nanhan Glory, was damaged during the tsunami a few years ago. Dalmar Lin was not only accused of embezzlement of company assets. After the news of the investigation reached the company, his wife, Betsý Jiang, have also accused him of cheating. She accused him of cheating with Mirra Yang who had been promoted by Dalmar Lin to the position of CFO of the company. Of course, Dalmar Lin denied all of these accusations. The Kana police recently raided his bungalow and his office in Kana and found more evidence of embezzlement as well as even more incriminating evidence.

After the police raid, the police found connections with Universal Construction and Jiangmen Shipping which were companies with connection with a powerful local triad known as Ho Lee Fuk. Using new facial recognition technology and advance HD video converter, they managed to trace Dalmar Lin as one of the perpetrators for the murder of Lee Taising on 2nd July 1981. He was brought to the court for trial and was sentenced to life imprisonment of 40 years for murder and embezzlement.

Anti Borland Protesters Burn Borland Flags
AS Borland was only formed in 2008 when all of the microstates were united, there are still people angry about how one microstate dominates Borland. It all happened after one microstate decided to take over all of the microstates around it in 1978, they continued to push through all of the microstates on the Borlish peninsula by force. People loyal to the old microstates (now part of Borland) are still loyal and want to reclaim their land. These people have taken to the streets and are burning Borland flag while waving their flags. Police are at the scene to make sure violence doesn't erupt.
